Showcasing:
Vestments for St. Mark's Episcopal Church
We have had the privilege to make 2 full sets of paraments and vestments
for St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Joe Kelly has communicated very effectively
on fabrics and designs. We email regularly, including pictures and
diagrams, which has allowed them to be a part of the process and get
just what they wanted.
We burned the midnight oil and finished the white and gold set in
time to overnight it to them for their Easter service. (They had not
expected this when they ordered.)
As you can see, it is beautiful with the white and yellow flowers
that decorated the church on this glorious Easter Sunday.
St. Mark's Church is a Christian community in the center of Richmond,
Virginia, founded in 1866. This parish is an active member of the
Episcopal Diocese of Virginia.
Gold and white set:
Completely reversible. Metallic imported fabric #542
Romb (not all fabrics lend themselves to being reversible).
Gold matching galloon covers all seams. Two for the price
of one! (almost).
Purple set:
Imported silk taffeta - fully lined. The embroidery
design LE0025
was reshaped, taken apart and different parts used on
different items.
A note from Joe Kelly:
I must get some photos to you of the purple hangings. Everyone from
our priest to every parishioner I have come in contact with has said
they are the most beautiful altar hangings they have ever seen. I'm
spreading the word about A Heavenly Stitich. J.
